SM ACTION RACING TEAM, WEEKEND NERO IN GRAN BRETAGNA
MATTERLEY BASIN (UK) – Weekend sfortunato per il Team SM Action Yuasa Battery KTM.
Il diciannovesimo e conclusivo atto del mondiale motocross si tiene sul circuito storico di Matterley Basin, in Gran Bretagna. Il team modenese schiera al via tre piloti: Alberto Forato in MXGP, Federico Tuani nella MX2 e Luca Ruffini nella EMX250.
La giornata del sabato è caratterizzata da temperature ottimali, che garantiscono al meglio lo svolgimento delle prove cronometrate e di gara uno della classe EMX250.
Alberto Forato, nella MXGP, è stato condizionato da problemi fisici tutta la settimana, dopo aver ottenuto il sedicesimo crono durante l’ultimo giro della gara di qualifica è caduto violentemente, battendo la spalla, e di comune accordo con il team ha deciso di non schierarsi al via per le gare della domenica, in vista dell’ultima tappa del campionato Italiano e del motocross delle nazioni.
Nella MX2 risultato discreto per Tuani, che dopo una brutta partenza ha condotto una buona rimonta fino a terminare in ventesima posizione.
Luca Ruffini nella EMX250 è stato protagonista di una discreta prova, partendo dalle crono dove ha ottenuto il ventiseiesimo tempo. Nel corso di gara uno non ha avuto un buono start, attorno alla ventitreesima posizione, e alla bandiera a scacchi è transitato in venticinquesima piazza.
In gara due, svoltasi in condizioni climatiche avverse a causa di un forte vento è riuscito a migliorare leggermente la sua performance conclusa in ventitreesima posizione.
Ritiro per Tuani in gara uno, che dopo una buona prestazione è incappato in una caduta che ha compromesso la gara e non gli ha impedito di proseguire in gara due.

SM ACTION RACING TEAM, DARK WEEKEND IN GREAT BRITAIN MATTERLEY BASIN (UK) – Unlucky weekend for the SM Action Yuasa Battery KTM Team.
The nineteenth and final act of the motocross world championship is held on the historic circuit of Matterley Basin, in Great Britain. The Modena team will field three riders at the start: Alberto Forato in MXGP, Federico Tuani in MX2 and Luca Ruffini in EMX250. Saturday is characterized by optimal temperatures, which guarantee the best performance of the timed trials and race one of the EMX250 class.
Alberto Forato, in the MXGP, was affected by physical problems all week, after obtaining the sixteenth fastest time during the last lap of the qualifying race he fell violently, hitting his shoulder, and by mutual agreement with the team he decided not to line up at the start for Sunday’s races, in view of the last stage of the Italian championship and the motocross of nations. In MX2, a decent result for Tuani, who after a bad start led a good comeback to finish in twentieth position.
Luca Ruffini was the protagonist of a decent performance in the EMX250, starting from the time trials where he achieved the twenty-sixth time. During race one he didn’t have a good start, around twenty-third place, and at the checkered flag he ended up in twenty-fifth place. In race two, which took place in adverse weather conditions due to strong winds, he managed to slightly improve his performance, finishing in twenty-third position.
Retirement for Tuani in race one, who after a good performance suffered a fall that compromised the race and did not prevent him from continuing in race two. We will meet again the team for the last round of Italian Championship and for the motocross of nations.
