GP DELL’OLANDA, FORATO È SETTIMO AD ARNHEM

ARNHEM (NL) – Ancora un’altra ottima prestazione di Alberto Forato nella classe regina. 

La sedicesima tappa del campionato del mondo di motocross fa tappa nei Paesi Bassi, patria di diversi campioni di motocross in un tracciato che per la prima volta ospita il campionato iridato. 

Il team SM ACTION YUASA BATTERY schiera al via quattro piloti, ad aggiungersi ad Alberto Forato sono infatti Lorenzo Ciabatti nella MX2, mentre completano la line-up del team Federico Tuani e Luca Ruffini nella EMX250. 

La due giorni di gare è stata caratterizzata da un meteo stabile ma a tratti nuvoloso, condita da un terreno morbido e sabbioso che ha caratterizzato la competizione. 

Durante la giornata del sabato Alberto si è subito messo in mostra nella gara di qualifica centrando la top ten ed ottenendo un ottimo sesto posto, a pochi secondi dalla top five della MXGP. Buona prestazione anche di Ciabatti, che nella MX2 centra la top venti ed è diciottesimo alla bandiera a scacchi della gara di qualifica. 

Grande prestazione di Tuani nella EMX250, che con un’ottima partenza conduce una buona gara nella top ten e termina alla bandiera a scacchi a un passo dalla top five, in sesta posizione, dimostrando un’ottima velocità sulla sabbia. Gara discreta per Ruffini che termina in ventiseiesima posizione. 

La giornata della domenica si apre con la seconda gara della classe EMX250, dove Tuani ripete un’altra ottima partenza e centra la top five terminando in quinta posizione. Grazie ai due risultati di giornata ed anche a un po’ di sfortuna termina in settima posizione assoluta.

Gara in salita per Ruffini, che accusa le poche ore in moto dopo l’infortunio e termina in trentaquattresima posizione. 

Nella classe MX2 Ciabatti è costretto al ritiro dopo il doppio crash durante gara uno, ma in gara due conferma quanto fatto al sabato terminando in diciottesima posizione, mentre nella MXGP Alberto Forato pecca ancora un po’ nelle partenze, che lo penalizzano nel corso delle due gare. Dovendo correre in rimonta ottiene comunque due ottimi risultati, un sesto e un settimo posto che gli consentono di ottenere il settimo posto di giornata. Il passo per stare là davanti c’è e migliorando le partenze Alberto potrà davvero lottare per le posizioni che contano. 

Ritroveremo il team impegnato fra due settimane nella lunga trasferta in Turchia, per la diciassettesima tappa del mondiale MXGP.

DUTCH GP, FORATO IS SEVENTH IN ARNHEM

ARNHEM (NL) – Yet another excellent performance by Alberto Forato in the premier class.

The sixteenth stage of the motocross world championship stops in the Netherlands, home of several motocross champions on a track that hosts the world championship for the first time.

The SM ACTION YUASA BATTERY team lines up four riders at the start, in addition to Alberto Forato are in fact Lorenzo Ciabatti in the MX2, while completing the line-up of the team Federico Tuani and Luca Ruffini in the EMX250.

The two days of competitions were characterized by stable but sometimes cloudy weather, topped off by a soft and sandy ground that characterized the competition.

During the day of Saturday Alberto immediately showed off in the qualifying race hitting the top ten and obtaining an excellent sixth place, just a few seconds from the top five of the MXGP. Good performance also by Ciabatti, who in MX2 hits the top twenty and is eighteenth at the checkered flag of the qualifying race.

Great performance by Tuani in the EMX250, who with an excellent start leads a good race in the top ten and ends at the checkered flag one step away from the top five, in sixth position, demonstrating excellent speed on the sand. Discreet race for Ruffini who finishes in twenty-sixth position.
Sunday opens with the second race of the EMX250 class, where Tuani repeats another excellent start and hits the top five finishing in fifth position. Thanks to the two results of the day and also to a bit of bad luck, he finished in seventh position overall.

Uphill race for Ruffini, who suffers from the few hours on the bike after the injury and finishes in thirty-fourth position.

In the MX2 class Ciabatti was forced to retire after the double crash during race one, but in race two he confirmed what he did on Saturday finishing in eighteenth position.

In the MXGP Alberto Forato still lacks a little in the starts, which penalize him during the two races. Having to make a comeback, however, he gets two excellent results, a sixth and a seventh place that allow him to get the seventh place of the day. The pace to stay up front is there and by improving the starts Alberto will really be able to fight for the positions that count.

We will find the team busy again in two weeks in the long trip to Turkey, for the seventeenth round of the MXGP world championship.
